Financial Assistance Program
- Focuses on improving the client’s personal financial skills, such as budget development and financial planning. Also provides informational services on developing a spending plan, managing personal finances evaluating assets and liabilities, and improving a client’s ability to perform as an informed consumer.
- Assists unit commanders and leaders in training soldiers and family members in personal financial readiness to include: the military pay system, checkbook management, soldier’s financial responsibility to themselves, their family members, and their creditors.
Financial Readiness Workshop
Topics of interest include:
- Checking account management
- Stretch your money on a budget
- Consumer rights and obligations
- Bad check penalties
- Consumer credit
- And other topics.
Classes are held on a regular basis.

- Information and education about your consumer rights and
- Informational pamphlets are available on many consumer issues
Debt Liquidation
- Information on ways to reduce debts, become financially sold, work with creditors to reduce installment payments.
- Clients must be seen first for Individual Budget Counseling to determine eligibility for Debt Liquidation assistance.
